Nomination of DoD Chief Management Officer Ready for Senate Vote

first_img Dan Cohen AUTHOR The Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday advanced the nomination of John Gibson II to become DOD’s first chief management officer, a position with a mandate to carry out a fundamental restructuring of the department. Under a reorganization plan released last August, the new post will oversee changes in the areas of real property, community services, logistics and supply, human resources, health care and technology systems, reported Military.com.
