Noida: Former District Magistrate of Ghaziabad, Ritu Maheshwari, a 2003-batch IAS officer, took charge as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Noida Authority, on Monday. Soon after taking the charge, Maheshwari held a meeting with authority officials and discussed over ongoing infrastructural and other development projects.While interacting with media, she highlighted that her prime focus will be on developing Noida as modern and smart city. She said that advanced efforts will be made on infrastructural development works, sanitation, waste management and solving the builder buyer’s issues. Our major focus will be on developing the infrastructure and changing the overall look of the city. Apart from this we will also focus majorly on Waste management system and will ensure door to door waste collection in all residential sectors at the earliest. Open dumping of garbage in the city will be completely stopped,” said Maheshwari. The CEO also said that they will put in efforts to overcome the long prevailing builder buyer issues which majorly includes delayed projects. “The homebuyers issues is already in the court and real estate regulatory. We will form a monitoring committee to look into the matter and will work to get the stalled projects completed,” added Maheshwari.
