An accident is leading to long delays on the A500 in Stoke-on-Trent this morning. There is very slow traffic and the D-road is partially blocked due to the accident on the Southbound carriageway at A53 Etruria Road / Etruria Way (Basford Roundabout). Congestion is reported back to the A34 and Talke Roundabout according to traffic data company INRIX. The accident, which is understood to have taken place shortly after 7am, has happened just before the exit slip road heading to the roundabout.
